PRIVACY
Privacy policy
Effective date: 2026-05-11. We treat decoder inputs as sensitive estate-planning details. The engine runs entirely in your browser; we never POST your inputs to a server.

What we DO NOT collect
- The state of execution, year, format, witness count, holographic flag, self-proving-affidavit flag, or state of domicile that you enter into the decoder.
- The verdict the engine returned to you.
- Any specific year + state combination that could identify a transaction.
What we collect via Google Analytics 4 (if enabled)
- Page views (URL path), session counts, referrer URL, user-agent, approximate (city-level) geographic location, language preference.
- Coarse format-bucket events (typed_witnessed / holographic / electronic / remote-witnessed) — count only, no specific input values.
- Coarse pre-vs-post-UEWA year-bucket events — count only, no specific year.
GA4 is configured with Consent Mode v2. Visitors from EU/EEA/UK regions are presented with a consent interstitial before any GA4 ping fires; refusal disables analytics. Outside the EU/EEA/UK, analytics defaults to active (with the option to opt out via the footer link).
Cookies
We use a single non-marketing cookie to remember your consent choice. GA4 sets first-party measurement cookies only after consent (or — outside the EU/EEA/UK — by default). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Decoder input handling
The decoder is implemented as a React client component. The state-rule manifest, UEWA adoption table, holographic state list, and 5-fixture corpus are bundled into the page's JavaScript at build time. The decoding engine evaluates your inputs against this static data entirely in-browser. No fetch / no XHR / no form POST occurs. Network-tab audit confirms (Audit 5.11).
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights.
Children's privacy
WillGridUS is intended for adults researching estate-planning questions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA/UK).
Changes
We may revise this privacy policy. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new effective date.
